Ash is sleeping with Blanca so it's stupid to feel like he's betraying Max by allowing a touch that, while pushing at the line, can be played off.
He'll confess it later. Max might be pissed, but he isn't going to let Sing die because some guy wanted to touch his hair.
Instead, leaning on the counter, he thanks him for the trouble.
