Day 265 - Friday, September 12th

[A Chinese man who is definitely a mature adult and not a teenager checks in to the Hyatt, one of their more exclusive rooms, along with his half-white half brother who is also certainly not a teenager and most definitely not the notorious gang leader wanted on suspicion of a September 11th New York City bombing in retaliation for an angry rogue sect of anti-American zealots.

The entire suite floor has been rented out, and it requires a special key card in the elevator and on the stairs to enter that floor. But they can rent one of the still very luxe rooms directly beneath.

A familiar white limo is in the car garage, though the opportunity to gawk or investigate is slim, between the security cameras and live guards.

There's still no contact from Max, but the Department of Homeland Security has become involved, and has begun to enter Ash's territory with intent to arrest any known figures within his gang to bring in for questioning.]

Day 284, Wednesday, Oct 1st

[ Max or Blanca. Either way, that's a relief. ]

Call me if you have Wu, and I'll come in. I'm not stupid, I'll need proof.

Any other tips on him or the enemy?

[ Ash sighs and heads for the doors. He does know they'll look for him here, too. ]

If I had them, I'd have told you. I'm hanging up.

[ Doing just that, he heads down to get Shawn. They should be able to see them coming from a shop next door. ]

[The police are already at the building, talking to the front desk. Shawn's gawking but then, so is almost everyone there.]

[jadedlynx]

[ And so Ash does too before moving closer to Shawn, eyes still on the cops.

He's close when he whispers. ]

Listen to what they're saying.

[ Everybody is whispering so it shouldn't stick out. ]

[It does not!]

Your name's come up. Good description of you too. Said you were a really good looking guy, for the record.

I tipped them off. Even if it doesn't work, they might move Wu. We just have to make sure we're not caught in the process.

[papalobo]

Put 'em to work for us, huh?

I'm a tax paying citizen.

[papalobo]

Should we bail?

[jadedlynx]

Yeah. We need to get in the car and park in a place that can see the entrance but can follow them if they move.

[papalobo]

[But when they go for the exit, the police are keeping anyone from leaving. Or coming in, for that matter.]

[jadedlynx]

[ That's not unexpected. Looking at Shawn in annoyance, he backs up and makes a show of going toward the hotel restaurant. ]

[papalobo]

[Hardly being the first upset at being unable to leave, it doesn't garner any special attention.]

[jadedlynx]

[ It'd stand out more to not be annoyed.

Then comes the watch over dinner. ]

[Eventually, there are gunshots heard at the top level. Screams and panic break out, as to be expected. Shawn looks to Ash, a brow raised. It's not as if they can hurry to do anything, but should they act afraid, or...?]

[ He stands, panicked, eyes going from the cops to upstairs. He moved closer as if ready to try and run out of the front door.

In reality, he's ready to take on those bastards if they win. ]

[papalobo]

[Shawn's not the greatest actor in following his lead, but fortunately, neither of them are getting too much focus at the moment.]

[jadedlynx]

[ Don't get shot, Wu. Don't get shot. ]

[papalobo]

[The gunfire doesn't last more than a few seconds. But the tension, the lock down, holds out for over an hour before the police begin moving out arrested figures, before ambulances and medical crew are rushing in, one stretcher coming out.]

[jadedlynx]

[ Wu. As they're coming out, he looks for Wu. It's easy enough to disguise it as curiosity. ]

[papalobo]

[Surrounded by SWAT shields and one of the notable men not in handcuffs as he walks out may be familiar. But he is moved out quickly.]

[jadedlynx]

[ Wu.

The guy never should have been involved. Ash is tired of getting people involved and having them die.

Sing is still missing. Ash hasn't forgotten. It's too bad he didn't get to question them. Ling really doesn't know where he is.

Yut Lung may or may not be alive.

He'll get a call soon. He needs to get some things in order. Ash and cops don't meld well together. ]

Shawn has never seen Wu; he has no real idea who he's looking for, aside from someone of Sing's height.]

[jadedlynx]

[ He can probably guess when Ash speaks after seeing him. ]

The cops actually did their jobs. We're done here.
