[Ash's alarm is going off at seven, which seems entirely too early to Max, drugs worn off enough to wake with the noise, worn off enough to know the meal he prepared last night is still probably good to go with a quick reheat. There really is no reason to get up so early, is there? Unless he has things to do.

Max can't do things. Why would he know if Ash had things to do?]

Who's doubting? I'm impressed I managed to do so good you can still be so positive about a shower date. Usually I gotta date someone to get 'em to the shower.

I didn't agree to a shower date. You've got to take me out like a gentleman first. Wouldn't want you thinking I was easy.

You're the one said you might wanna stay in and wash your hair.

Showers and bathrooms have doors. Closing them is.

So you don't wanna shower with me?

That depends on the date. Impress me, and I'll think about it.

[It's a little frustrating, how tired he finds himself already. He could normally banter around with Ash endlessly. But, shaking out his hand, he falls into silence now, wondering what kind of date he could throw together.

They both know he has nothing to actually offer in the shower.]

[ Leaving that over his head, Ash leaves. It's no good if Max thinks Ash expects nothing of him. ]
