Day 208 - Friday, July 17th

[Ash's alarm is going off at seven, which seems entirely too early to Max, drugs worn off enough to wake with the noise, worn off enough to know the meal he prepared last night is still probably good to go with a quick reheat. There really is no reason to get up so early, is there? Unless he has things to do.

Max can't do things. Why would he know if Ash had things to do?]

[ He leans forward, eyes twinkling. ]

You're so, so, so cute... Just adorable.

[ Max would hate that, Ash knows. ]

[And yet he grins, leaning forward to match, chin in hand.]

Wanna kiss me?

[ One hand reaches out to squeeze his cheeks. ]

When I look at such an adorable face, why wouldn't I want to kiss it?

Alright, get over here 'n do it, then.

Don't want to come over here and sit on my lap, Cutie?

Man, you are into me. So, you come here.

[jadedlynx]

[ With a finger, he taps Max's nose. ]

I'm happy to just look at such a cute face.

Don't blame you. M'good looking.

[ Leading back, he cuts another bite from his diminishing stack of pancakes. ]

Then just sit there and look nice while I finish up.

[ It's painfully familiar. Painfully because Ash isn't sure how much of it is Max's acting and even if it's real, how long it'll last. Sadly, he doesn't think the only thing the two needed was a good night of sleep. ]

So that's why you're so set on me not moving around too much on my own, you wanna keep me in front of you like a pretty little picture.

[Ash will get tired of "complimenting" him before his pride gives out.]

[ He's too dedicated to this. ]

There's something satisfying about looking at something soft and calming. It's like a doll or a picture of a flower.

Can I get that in writing?

Yeah. The next time I get a piece of paper, I'll write a story about just how cute and pretty your sweet little face is.

[Shifting, he takes out his own phone.]

[jadedlynx]

[ He really thinks Ash is going to back down. Ash isn't going to lose this. ]

[papalobo]

[He can set it up recording, setting the phone out between them then with a challenging smirk.]

[jadedlynx]

[ His head tilts. ]

You like being call cute that much, Max?

Figure if we get it on record, you won't have to keep repeating it.

That's so cute, but you don't have to be so embarrassed. Just tell me how much you like hearing about how adorable you are.

What? Are you being shy now? You were glowing at hearing how adorable you are a few seconds ago? Are you too shy now? That's cute, too.

[ He frowns. It's audible in his voice. ]

Just a bit confused. You wanted me to say how cute you were, and now you're dancing around it. What's wrong, Max? Don't you want to hear it now?
