Day 208 - Friday, July 17th

[Ash's alarm is going off at seven, which seems entirely too early to Max, drugs worn off enough to wake with the noise, worn off enough to know the meal he prepared last night is still probably good to go with a quick reheat. There really is no reason to get up so early, is there? Unless he has things to do.

Max can't do things. Why would he know if Ash had things to do?]

[Asher does not come when called. He is a free animal. Ash must come get him at all times. If anything, calling for him warns him to climb higher, because Ash is coming to take him away from fun.]

[ 'This is why people get dogs.

'Get off his hat'

When Ash comes in to check on the food, he's holding Asher by the back of his neck. ]

[papalobo]

[And Max presents a plate of pancakes, with a proper mess of flour around him and some splatters of milk and butter smeared on his cast and himself.]

Welcome back.

[jadedlynx]

[ With a frown, he passes the cat. ]

He's grounded.

[ With Max. ]

[papalobo]

[Max holds out a hand to take him less because he wants to and more because, well, he's being passed over, like it or not.

Asher licks some butter off his finger, then bites. Because it tastes good.]

Oi.

[Asher then moves to trying to lick batter and such off his cast. Which might not be the most hygienic way to clean it, but Max decides it's just going to happen.]

Thanks.

[ With a sigh, Ash sits and pulls his pancakes to him. ]

The bathroom is coming along fast. They're installing a massaging tub level with the ground so you don't have to climb in and out.

[papalobo]

I'll just live in it from now on.

[Despite being probably pretty active while Ash was out, all things considered, he is in a more playful mood. Maybe it was sleeping late.]

It's not portable so you'll have to set it up before moving in.

[papalobo]

Long as it massages me. It'll remind me of that time in the hotel when we first landed in LA.

[ As he chews, Ash snorts. ]

If I'm only just as good as some water jets, I need to get back to practice.

[papalobo]

I could probably help you practice that much.

[jadedlynx]

Pass.

[ But he isn't passing on the pancakes. Ash seems hungry, and Max could likely tell why by the uneaten dinner from the night before. ]

I'd hate to burden you with the job.

[papalobo]

Don't be so cold. What're boyfriends for?

Making pancakes.

I'll add to the list once I figure it out.

Think there're more things than pancakes you can enjoy syrup on when you got a boyfriend...

[Despite the "seductive" line, the messy fingers wriggling towards him are covered more with pancake batter and less tasty mess than the end result.

Asher is still eating from his cast.]

I really don't know what's happening right now, but I think it's probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

[ Max, reaching for him with messy hands, as a cat hangs off his cast. ]

Did you drug the food?

M'never flirting with you again.

[jadedlynx]

I wonder if this is what happens when people do mushrooms.

[papalobo]

You're gettin' mushrooms in your pancake next time.

[jadedlynx]

Will it make that image go away? If so, I'll take seconds.

[ As punishment, he tries to set Asher down on the counter, to let him go bug Ash.

But Asher is having fun with his cast and isn't going anywhere; it feels good on his claws, like a scratching post!]

It looks like your flirting worked on someday. You've been chosen. Should I be jealous?

[papalobo]

[Before Max can answer, Asher meows, casually, as if to say 'yes.']

....He gonna have this habit when it comes off, too?

[jadedlynx]

He's pretty bold, doing it in front of me.

[ But he seems amused. More than even before, Ash seems relaxed as he eats. ]

But probably.

[papalobo]

Bet he's doin' it because it's in front of you. Soon as you finish your pancakes and leave me to the dishes, he'll be gone.
